Joseph Duffy Memorial Award

presented annually for
Excellence in Teaching English Language Arts
by the Saskatchewan Teachers of English Language Arts Association

Nominating Procedure

1.      The nominee must be a member of the Saskatchewan Teachers of English Language Arts Association.

2.      The nominee must be actively involved in the instruction of English Language Arts from K-College.

3.      The nominee must know of his/her nomination.

4.      A nomination letter must be submitted by a sponsor and co-sponsor.  It must include the following:

a.      Name of nominee, school or institute where presently teaching, school or institution address.

b.      Name and signature of sponsor, position, address.

c.       Name and signature of co-sponsor, position, address.

d.      A statement of rationale for recommendation of the nominee.

5. A resume should be submitted. It should include the following details:

a. Educational and professional experience.
b. Service to professional and community organizations.
c. Area of English Language Arts that the nominee has taught or is presently teaching.

6.      Any other supportive material may be submitted by the sponsor and co-sponsor.

7.      Nominations still being accepted.

Gary Hyland Award

presented annually for
Excellence in the First Ten Years of Teaching English Language Arts
by the Saskatchewan Teachers of English Language Arts Association

Nominating Procedure

1. The nominee must be a member of the Saskatchewan Teachers of English Language Arts Association.
   
2. The nominee must be in his/her first ten years of teaching English Language Arts.
   
3. The nominee must be actively involved in the instruction of English Language Arts from K-College.
   
4. The nominee must know of his/her nomination.

   1. Name of nominee, school or institute where presently teaching, school or institution address.
