Programs for Teachers

The Bhutan Canada Foundation is excited to announce that we have officially begun accepting applications to join our Class of 2012.  Our Class of 2011 teachers are now in the field working in communities across Bhutan, and we could not be more excited about how our second year is going. We now have 21 adventurous teachers and 3 lecturers in classrooms all over the country teaching a variety of subjects including English, Biology, Physics, Math, Special Education and Elementary grades.

 We have been asked by the Royal Government of Bhutan to provide up to 100 native English speaking teachers to fill a massive teacher shortage that leaves hundreds of students across the country without an education. We are reaching out to members of the Saskatchewan English teacher community in hopes that you can help point us in the right direction. We are looking for help with advertising and would appreciate it you could pass the word along through the Saskatchewan Teachers of English Language Arts.

 We are now recruiting for the 2012 school year in Bhutan which runs from February – December 2012. Interviews will be held this June, July and August in Toronto or by Skype. We are looking for adaptable and enthusiastic adventurours who are looking to make a difference.
